God is on TV

Independent Music and Cultural Network Magazine

2021 is supposed to be a year of recovery, but it has brought more challenges and struggles. The spread of this epidemic has highlighted the deep inequality at the core of our society and the tensions in our culture. The musicians investigated the wreckage for a year, and they found that due to the inequality of the streaming media model, the continuous decline in physical sales, and the fact that only some music festivals can be held and blocked, the tour can only partially return. Their income is declining in the second half of the year. At the same time, the various challenges faced by independent record companies, the red tape of Brexit, vinyl record production issues and serious costs have all affected our favorite record companies and musicians. A report this year stated that three-quarters of musicians are actually considering whether to continue.

Nevertheless, there is still a beam of light. We have seen a movement for change and hope, whether it is environmental activism, or that leads to a bill in the House of Representatives that requires Congressman Kevin Brennan to engage in a record-breaking campaign for fairer trade, or it’s like Friday. Bandcamp is a small-scale event, and every penny from it is put back into the pocket of the artist.

As far as we are concerned, God has had the best year so far on TV. As a website, we have the most visits and the largest number of viewers. We are also very happy that our REM compilation has earned £5,000 for Help Musicians!

We have been working hard to find ways to use our favorite music as a platform, for example, here we show our writer’s suggestions and editors’ consideration of the top 50 recordings in 2021. A diverse and eclectic list, symbolizing samples of some of our favorite albums, selected from a large number of music released in the past 12 months. This is very subjective, and the ranking is a bit random: the top three are indeed tied, but separated by an editor's vote. But each album reflects the taste of our talented and passionate team of writers. I believe you already have your favorite annual record, but maybe you will find something new below that will make you fall in love.

Thank you for reading and listening, 2022 is coming soon!

Shame embarked on the journey of making a second album, feeling shocked by the constant tour. To cope with this situation, guitarist Sean Coyle-Smith shut himself in his bedroom, obsessively deconstructing his method of playing and making music. Lead singer Charles Stein took a different approach and went to the party. The band's life was severely lost. The band and a whole generation have felt the disintegration of his relationship, loss of self-awareness, and growing identity crisis. Charlie went into hiding and wrote lyrics in a room shaded in pink from the floor to the ceiling, in order to calm the prisoners in the U.S. Naval Correctional Facility. The result is an album full of twists, depth, emotion and honesty; however, I am not sure whether the calming effect of the Drunk Tank Pink color is effective. Thank goodness. (Julia Mason)

49. Heixiang, New Road-the first time

I heard some avant-garde, mathematical rock and post-rock, maybe even a little jazz. Did they ignore the classification or did they check many boxes? They try to avoid appearing self-indulgent, which is no easy task for such experimental bands. (Ed Japp)

The head of the black country, the new road

In the sixth album -io, this unique sound complements Fohr's 23 orchestral arrangements, blending the painful context of the album with meticulous details. (Trev Elgin)

-io by Circuit des Yeux

47. White Flowers-Day after Day

The trio focused on tense, usually minimal arrangements, and the strong impact of their rhythmic beats was pierced by the mysterious emotions of Katie Drew's ghostly voice. All this has created something very powerful. (Simon Godley)

Ty Segall aka: The Never-ending Psychedelic Rock Machine released his 22nd album this year. Segall consistently delivers highly creative and exciting albums, just as it’s no big deal, and Harmoniser is no exception. Tracks like'Erased' and'Waxman' unabashedly accepted Segall's tendency to shift the sound to hard rock while remaining funny and weird enough to satisfy the artistic and spiritual musos.

If this album has anything to emphasize, it is that when repetition is used strategically, it can be a powerful force, not predictable. The improvisations and lyrics repeated in tracks like "Play" and "Feel Good" are completely intentional and are great for dancing. At only 35 minutes, Harmoniser is not Segall's longest album-no song contains any elaborate 7-minute psychological elegy, in this respect, it almost has a gorgeous rock feel. Having said that, this is still a Ty Segall album, which will definitely satisfy both new and old fans. (Kate Haresnep)

45. Tori Amos-Ocean to Ocean

Ocean to Ocean is a gorgeous and moving victory. Created during the blockade, after the grief of the mother's death, this is a collection of moving songs with great depth and beauty. These songs burn beautifully in your heart. A wonderful album. (Lucy Bennett).

Find time to immerse yourself in this record, either listening with headphones or using speakers to blow it out. Although it looks hard on the outside, it is happy on the inside. (Ed Japp)

43. James-all your colors

It is as surprising as ever that a band with such a long life can avoid nostalgia at all costs, keep experimenting with their voices, and always challenge themselves and their fans. (Laura Dean)

42. Haydenthorpe-Moondust of My Diamond

When Haydenthorpe decided that he wanted to create in a different context from the beast, he wasn't fucking, was he? Diviner's piano ballads in 2019 made him reflect on his new life as a solo artist; beautiful, thoughtful songs with emotions bubbling on the surface. Follow up Moondust For My Diamond and find that he has moved to his hometown of Kendall. Maybe the fresh and clean open space will open his heart? On this, he posed bigger questions to the world. The gentleness and restraint of this record, further soothed by synthesizers and subtle programming, is deceptive when listening to it for the first time. Deeper concentration diving reveals low-key elegance; when we healed from the misfortunes of the past two years, the record is the magic secret medicine on our remaining scars. (Kaith Holland)

Jane Weaver's best album so far...the misty psychedelic colors of those albums still exist, and they have the hypnotic effect of powerful radio and multi-level bands such as Stereolab. Flock managed to become Weaver's loosest collection of songs and also her most commercialized song. This is a flawless album, produced by a person with a very high level of work, and should have made a breakthrough in business long ago. (Jonathan Wright)

Krautrock summershine in Los Angeles, California, the indie pop mixing band Dummy released MandatoryEnjoyment, which is one of the most anxious but calmest albums this year. Mandatory enjoyment of traffic jams, being shrouded in smog, illuminated by neon lights, waiting for the start of edibles, feeling the pressure of nearly 4 million people, and feeling the isolation that is out of touch with these 4 million people. It complements Can, Neu, Stereolab and Electrolane. Find the product you are about to buy. (Mike Turner)

39. Carwyn Ellis & Rio – Mas

These songs are sung in Welsh and combine unique pop music and music from all over Latin America to create a delicious fusion of tropical style, Bossa Nova, Samba and Cambia. (Kaith Holland)

Carvin Ellis and Rio 18's Mas

38. Curtis Harding-If the words are flowers

An awesome collection of songs about the need for company at the high and low moments of our lives, set against the background of Curtis Harding's knowledgeable and erratic soul music brand. (Matt Hobbs)

If words are flowers, Curtis Harding

Beyond the soul. With his very personal lyrics and mixed music style, such as the excellent blues jazz opening song "Montreal" and the American gospel rock "Fourth Day Prayer", Alison Russell keeps you on the alert and keeps you on track Come surprise. (Max M)

The deep percussion pattern is enriched by its nature. These tunes have the feeling of the end of the party, the bpm rises rapidly, and the pitch and intensity create a digital character. (Nick James)

The fifth solo album Patina of the famous cellist Peter Gregson witnessed his glacial tundra that spans the weight of sound, technology and emotion. Recording at Abbey Road using the new 4K surround sound system, Patina combines Gregson's superb cello performance with the skills of creating electronic melodies. The result of this album has given this increasingly powerful composer a new light. (James Turrell)

The annual hit song of the Los Angeles duo brings us to a new planet of imagination with a delicious, weightless and infectious future popular brand. Intertwined with the mainframe memories of past synthesizers and fantasy pop music, and reinjected rhythm and intoxicating sounds for 2021, mixed with fragments of both familiar and otherworldly desire melodies: they are the one you will I want to visit the Mercurial world again, again. (Bill Cummings)

Magdalena Bay Mercury World

An album shows that our favorite rough rock singer can do "darkness" like anyone else. Crawler was mainly inspired by lead singer Joe Talbot's almost fatal car accident. If we have not realized this in the opening track "MTT 420 RR"-this is a brooding, moody number with an ominous premonition, then when we enter the rather subtle "car accident", we have no doubt The ground left. However, the most pleasant thing about Crawler is to incorporate various new elements into their sounds, sometimes in tribute to Echo and Bunnymen or Suicide. Strongly barely cover it. (Lotz Etheridge)

The exciting third album of the New York City Trio UV-TV is the sound of the band enjoying live performance: it is full of awesome fuzzy trailing guitar improvisation, smooth boy/girl melodies and rhythmic percussion.

Always Some Vibrant power pop music: This album incorporates the sounds of the 80s and 90s, but unlike many lad bands in this year's festival lineup, it sounds very infectious and refreshing. (Bill Cummings)

Kris Esfandiari of Los Angeles is a versatile musician who has participated in several cross-genre projects, from the dirty soul of Miserable to the clean and ethereal pop music of last year's Sugar High album. As a King Woman, she explored the dark corners of the human condition, and her second album Celestial Blues is her masterpiece. The sharp doom metal intersects with post-metal improvisations, melancholy and mysterious indie rock in the form of rituals, creating something that has a terrible effect on the senses and emotions. Esfandiari's low roar forms the black backbone of this record, and her voice occasionally rises from the mud, towering above the guitar like an angel of death. Even if you don't usually like metal, you will find some fascinating song creations here. (Trev Elgin)

Celestial Blues by King Woman

The Allergie brings exciting beats, fashionable hip-hop music and exciting collaborations to create an album full of positivity and joy, which is very suitable for these difficult times.

The return of long-time collaborator Ugly Duckling's Andy Cooper and his ridiculously fast vocalization created highlights such as "Utility Man" on this album. "Jumping down" makes you bounce, scratching makes you move. Producers Rackabeat and DJ Moneyshot aka The Allergie bring music to make you smile, sprinkle the sun on your world, and add vitality to your steps. Singles from the Promised Land include "Love Somebody", "Move On Baby", the title song "Promised Land" and the opening song "Lean On You" in collaboration with Dynamite MC. The common theme between all the collaborators and The Allergies is that everyone seems to be very excited when creating this kind of music. Just listen to "Going To The Party" featuring Lyrics Born and tell me that you can't immediately think of the image of a fashionable party. The album ends with "you" as the Promised Land, and ends with such a peaceful note, only showing the skill, scope and talent of The Allergies. See you on the dance floor! ! (Julia Mason)

29. Noga Erez – KIDS (against the machine)

Israeli singer Noga Erez, following his 2017 premiere of "Off The Radar", combines jazz and African rhythm with stoic but common realism. They are socially conscious, sometimes politically conscious, and have a complete band. Despite everything that has happened in the world, they obviously enjoy themselves, which makes Kids an incredibly infectious and enjoyable percussion record. The seemingly effortless music stream means that a very cool drop in the "knockout" seamlessly blends into the loose and contradictory party atmosphere of "End of the Road", while the fantastic "Switch Me Off" is just a counter-attack. "Funk" supplement. There is no news on TV'. Glory from beginning to end. (Steve Spithray)

KIDS by Noga Erez (against the machine)

28. Papur Wal – Amser Mynd Adra

Even before their debut album came out, Papur Wal had already undergone some changes, from a heavier slack voice to a deeper dedication to melody, harmony, and a focus on high-quality pop song creation. "Slacker power pop" may sound contradictory—perhaps—but it does work. The rock element still exists, but there is the honesty sweetness of your classic pop. (Kaith Holland)

Amser Mynd Adra of Papur Wal

On only 8 tracks, the core of the “things of yesteryear” embodies economy, directness, and adventurous spirit. The awesome lead clip'(There Is) No Logic' is an accurate clip of synthesizers, samples and R&B rhythms that can fill the dance floor.

Forged by the electronic collision of a synthesizer and a guitar, because it uses funk's imagination and the twitching disconnection of leaving home and everything behind to implant the sound of the old-fashioned synthesizer. (Bill Cummings)

26. Arlo Parks-Collapse in the sun

Demonstrating the obvious talent of Arlo Parks, he created subtle, direct and influential new soul songs. (Matt Hobbs)

Arlo Parks collapsed in Sunbeams

Great, it can and does take you to a better and simpler place, where everything is fine in the world. (Lotz Etheridge)

As the follow-up LP of The Departure in 2019, Siobhan Wilson has assembled her most powerful song collection to date, from the minimalist opening song "Unload the Gun" solo and live performance to the epic string "My Kiss Is Not" "a Messenger" is a roller coaster of heart. Siobhan's classical voice is above contemporary music, with angelic transmission and incredible range. The personal highlight is the penultimate song "Warning Signs", which has a weird orchestral premonition suitable for James Bond's funeral, and John Barry's influence is very strong.

The entire record gives the impression of a dark storm on the coast of Scotland, where Siobhan lived for a while. Atmospheric and complicated. (Jim Orton)

23. Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Matt Sweeney-Super Wolves

Sixteen years after releasing their classic Superwolf, American musicians Bonnie'Prince' Billy and Matt Sweeney reunited to produce another masterpiece in the form of Superwolves. Superwolves has been brewing for about 60 months. It is a carefully conceived and most beautifully produced record that complements and develops the subtle texture and wording of its old brother. When they effortlessly switch music between exquisite folk, country, American and deeper psychedelic rock, they can hear the close artistic connection and melody diversity between the two. (Simon Godley)

22. Karima Walker-Awakening the dreaming body

Bravely awakening from a life that has been temporarily put aside, this confirms that awakening the dreaming body is a record of our time. (Simon Godley)

Karima Walker awakens the dreaming body

It's as if Aphex Twin boarded a carriage, pushed the driver up from his seat, and took everyone on a detour, along the undead mountain road, through the magical tunnel at high speed. This is really exciting. (Lotz Etheridge)

20. Lael Neale-Familiar with the night

"Familiar with the Night" captures the human spirit and all its flaws and struggles, yearning and questioning its own death: it is both the naked individual of the Virginia native Lyernier, and it is universal at the same time. (Bill Cummings)

Familiar with the night Lael Neale (Lael Neale)

19. Dry cleaning-new long legs

The guitarists, bassists and drummers of Dry Cleaning have been dry cleaning for the past 12 years, making music for various bands. Thanks to a mutual friend, they were introduced to the visual artist and drawing lecturer Florence Shaw, who started to contribute her words to the project and read them aloud in her weird, funny and unique way Into poetry. They wisely made her a female anchor. With Shaw, dry cleaning is no longer just an itchy, melodic post-punk performance (which is fun in itself), but something completely different from their contemporaries. (Richard Wiggins)

18. Feliz Brothers-From Dream to Dust

Another fascinating album from New Yorkers, where they start to feel like their favorite old friends who have just appeared at your door but want to talk about death. Nevertheless, they are still very interesting, and this situation may last a long time. (Lotz Etheridge)

Phyllis brothers from dream to dust

Kiwi Jr is cheering up to the kind we really need, freeing those emotions from the downturn, where they linger and fester until they are black and moldy. Because even a few of the LP’s beautiful tracks, you will grin like the richest people in Alderley Edge Cheshire Fat Cats, they are locked in their palace with indoor swimming pool and home theater. room. There is also a large oven that can make a lot of cakes and banana bread. (Jim Orton)

Cooler Returns by Kiwi jr

No one will accuse JOHN of being flashy when playing primitive and unpretentious punk rock. They are just two down-to-earth people who happen to have the best performers in the industry. (Simon Mois)

John's night exercise (TIMESTWO)

Hannah Peel uses all the composers and electronic pioneers of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop Delia Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson's vivid experiments and innovations on Fir Wave to transform and amplify their vision into a glorious baptism of futuristic sound. (Simon Godley)

We are Huffy of Scientists

I have always liked that we are scientists, they always feel like a pair of comfortable old slippers-complete the required work completely reliably without fuss. So what surprised me is that Huffy, their seventh album, is also their best album to date. Yes, some unexpected events happened here, such as the annual family-like summer popular gem "Sentimental Education" and the fabulous "Buy myself a grave", which started a bit like a broken family band, and may even be ear-piercing Miles Hunt solo number, but within a few minutes, we were taken to a nightclub with loud, throbbing bass lines, and proved that the vocoder does not always have to cause vomiting. Huffy is full of wonderful 3-4 minutes of pop music, and "Pandemonium" may even be the most attractive song of 2021. (Loz Etheridge)

Julien Baker's use of loop pedals, reverb guitars and keyboards, and her powerful but sometimes delicate vocals, make her a compelling and remarkable performer that can inspire deep emotions. (Lucy Bennett)

12. Romeo Pharmacy-The World in the Bedroom

This record is hypnotic, it will hook and take you through the mirror. An open-air organ, feeling Magic Roundabout psychedelic. A nursery rhyme element to the smallest, gentle keys and almost low voice. (Jim Orton)

11. Cassandra Jenkins-a natural overview of the phenomenon

"Water can heal everything," the Brooklyn musician, singer and songwriter hinted in "The New Bikini," in the flickering haze of subtle psychedelic ballads. You will think that Cassandra Jenkins can easily talk about the album itself. (Simon Godley)

Cassandra Jenkins's overview of the natural phenomenon

10. Anna B Savage-A common turning point

Anna B Savage's voice can stop traffic. Exhibited meticulously in the middle of "Corncrakes", everything disappeared, only silence, the world stopped turning, you can hear the sound of a needle falling, and Anna entered A Capella. The world starts again. Maybe this is my own metaphor for 2021 design, let human beings start to act again, start to meet each other, let us all gather in one room, listen, watch and live again.

A Common Turn has achieved everything that the single and EP promised six years ago. It is worth the wait.

Stress and tension make a purely artistic work possible, which is an amazing noise and panacea for the audience. Hope Anna has reaped the rewards now. Leave life as a fledgling chick and become a mature bird, spread its wings and prepare to soar. (Jim Orton)

9. Maintain stability-open door policy

In some ways, the open door policy is reminiscent of 2006's "American Boys and Girls" and its 2005 predecessor, "Separation Sunday", because it is an exciting digital combination and an exhilarating choir, and The fascinating and exciting ones don't seem to be temperate. I often comment on how the songs of The Hold Steady resemble the coolest cult movies, and Finn’s role is sometimes confused, the filthy and/or sometimes devastating life choices of the character that is often amused by observers and their consequences. This album has spades.

So yes, I admit that I can reasonably be regarded as a "fan" of Hold Steady, but when the band keeps releasing albums of such amazing quality, how can I not continue to fanatically praise how awesome they are? Open Door Policy, their eighth album, is also one of their best works. (Lotz Etheridge)

Maintain a stable open door policy

8. Mogwai-As love continues

Even as a long-term fan, it takes some time to listen to this album-the first few times I heard it made me feel that the second half of this album may not be as strong as the first half. Persist-because it is not the case. Maybe they will show their charm after listening to it a few times-but at this point in time, we have a lot of time to fill it up. Let's face it, most of the albums we really fall in love with are albums that need to be listened to over and over again.

For more than a quarter of a century, Mogwai has always brought joy and surprise to people. I am looking forward to their next release, and it is obvious that more and more fans are doing the same. With reflection on the last note of the album, "This is what I want to do, Mom" fades away, and it's clear that Mogwai has—again—giving us another amazing album. (Ed Japp)

As love continues, Mogwai

7. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis-The Holocaust

The coronavirus pandemic cost the Nick Cave and Bad Seeds tour in Europe and the United Kingdom last year. The void left by it made Cave full of fear and uncertainty. However, you finally stand out from this art vacuum carnage. Created by the commander-in-chief of Bad Seeds and his trusted second lieutenant Warren Ellis, and thanks to the dual pillars of God and grief, the Holocaust is a testament to the palliative power of music. In response to a series of catastrophic events—whether in the entire world, especially in Cave’s life—this duo’s first non-film soundtrack album is both powerful and provocative, and a beacon of hope for salvation. Push the cart to hell in a different world. (Simon Godley)

6. Anchor-The Art of Failure

Welsh songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, anchor Catherine Anne Davis released her second studio album this spring, which captured our hearts deeply.

Inspired by loss and trauma, this is a series of highly emotional songs. With sad and traumatic experiences on their shoulders, they shook it, nailed it back, and finally stared deep into its eyes. There are also beautiful, gorgeous melody in the dark, and at the same time provide a good medicine for the deep-rooted soul. Tracks such as "Unravel", "5am" and "The Heart is a Lonesome Hunter" have a particularly strong impact on me. The album produced by The Anchoress is particularly impressive. The level of each song is excellent. The overall soundscape is beautiful and inspired by Scott Walker, Tori Amos, Manic Street Preachers (James Dean Bradfield (James Dean Bradfield) ) Is the band’s guest singer) album) and David Bowie. This is an amazing record that will stay with you every time you listen. Bold, compassionate, and breathtaking. (Lucy Bennett)

The Lost Art-Anchor's Anchor

I think what makes WH Lung different from most of their contemporaries is that their music is full of "heart". It is the core of their existence, it gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling, you just want you to bottle it and keep it forever.

"Somebody Like" is like going back to the early nineties. If it were released at that time, it would definitely become number one, and the closing song "Kaya" is like an emotional farewell to old friends or distant lovers at the airport-you Feel sorry for it to end, at least until next time, but the memories you leave are so happy that the world seems more suitable for life than without them.

It is an amazing record. This band is getting better and better. Who knows what they can achieve from here? (Lotz Etheridge)

4. Little Simz-Sometimes I can be very introverted

Sometimes I may be introverted. Little Simz's best record to date. Not only did Simz find a voice, she also found a defining voice that blended with London's melting beer. She bravely stood in the crosshairs of injustice, prejudice, and right-wing marches, pushed it down, and in the process built herself to the top of the mountain. This was her moment, and she caught it. Although sometimes I may be introverted, modern Britain, Grime, and Hip Hop tell about the experiences of young and black people in the UK. It has something in common with Dave and others, but its voice is rooted in A Tribe Called Quest and Erykah Badu. Old-school artists who can blur the sound effortlessly and create tapestries as magnificent as the 70s records of Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder. Yes, it is so good.

After honeding her skills for more than ten years, Simz stepped out of her introversion, with a amiable heart and heartfelt intentions, telling the artist's trauma, inequality and growth and other common problems, as well as the experience of black people. Miss. She is a teacher who stood firm in the hustle and bustle of 2021, documenting the dichotomy of tension, introversion and fear to speak out and have the courage to speak out, the extreme situations of social media, and the importance of black lives. , And speak with frustration, injustice and effort to be heard. Little Simz boldly put her heart in danger and in the process elevated her status as one of the country's best artists. This is the sound of 2021. (Bill Cummings)

Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka self-esteem) has had a long journey since uploading her first demo to BBC Introducing in 2017-since then, she has released an album that lets Her Maida Vale debuted and performed in Glastonbury. The album was announced in July. With the release of the title song-with a malfunctioning synthesizer and lyrics about putting yourself first, "Prioritise Pleasure" is a powerful track for us for the album. The loud voice is well prepared. Other singles include the national anthem "Moody", which contains some of the album's most witty lyrics ("It seems counterproductive to text you in a mental health conversation"), a vulnerable colloquial called "I always do this" I'd explore the complexity of being a human and bubbling "How can I help you". The lyrics that strike rhythm and catharsis target the misogynistic standards and objectification suffered by women, "How can I help you" accompanied by a self-directed video, see Taylor behind the drum kit-a statement of empowerment that allows her to renew Recovered the feeling she once felt uncomfortable when playing them.

Priority Happiness is a popular masterpiece, and it is safe to say that no other artist can respect himself like Taylor. (Laura Dean)

Michelle Zauner has always been an unruly writer; it forms the backbone of her work. After mourning the death of her mother on Psychopomp and slowly moving forward on Soft Sounds, we have become accustomed to her convincing honesty and humanity. Jubilee often sees Michelle willing to accept optimism while being free to follow her impulse to explore new topics. This enthusiasm was carried over to the broadest and greatest music of her career. The progress of these scopes and designs is seamless and in line with the vision Michelle talked about before the launch of Jubilee.

Jubilee is an amazing and bold upgrade that firmly cements Michele's position as one of the most talented songwriters, composers and performers in the music industry. Be nice to this person, we need more people like her. (Jonathan Wright)

Similar to their third album, Desperate Journalist named their fourth album after a phrase borrowed from a visual artist (this time Internet artist Kevin Bewersdorf). Bewersdorf's work is based on the corporate brand image, which seems to be intentional to attract you, enticing you to maximize the use of screen time and online games-the modern sad industry.

Desperate Journalist often hits you where you really don't mind getting hit, such as "Hollow" in "Grow Up" or "Jonatan" in "In Search of the Miraculous". Unsurprisingly, there are many vicious whirlpools of life here. The first single on the album "Fault" provided the chaos of the entire band. Jo Bevan admitted, "The troubles of teenagers are hard to beat/when your closet is full of failures." Rob Hardy (Rob Hardy) Squeeze the greatest sadness from a guitar. Simon Drowner's bass line and Caz Hellbert's drum line are ruthless, just like the inner and outer worlds they portray. From start to finish, the rhythm part is excellent.

If it starts to tell us that we are living in the Truman Show, "Utopia" will not feel more dystopian. The'Poison Pen' is a wave of anger, questioning the privileged class, "Oh, can you respect the writer/can you be a bit whiter as a knight?" Under Bevin's wailing and the turbulent instrument exchange, We heard colloquialism-a new member of the work of desperate reporters.

When we may get lost in the grief of the sound, this way of telling the truth is interrupted and adds extra directness to their message. We found its beautiful and melancholic Björk'Birthday' look and'Personality Girlfriend' in "What You're Scared Of". There is a little bit of British pop, but it's not the British pop of 1996—it's more like British pop 25 years later: more worrying. It's a bit like Sleeper, but after sleeping in a sleeper, I still don't sleep very well.

Just like the exclamation mark, the greatest sadness! It feels full of irony "Yeah! Thank you, universe! What's next? Can't wait..." There is no phrase for the fourth album of "difficulty", but there is always a problem that a band can win with What different things do your voice do. For Desperate Journalist, the answer is to maximize emotional reverberation. Sure to win. (Jon Keane)
