Australia/Saudi Arabia: Seeley International provided approximately 50,000 Breezair evaporative coolers for Mecca pilgrims during their stay in the tent city of Mina Valley, Saudi Arabia.

Mina’s tent city is located 5 kilometers east of the holy city. It is an fascinating logistics exercise involving more than 100,000 tents and houses, providing accommodation for about 3 million people in an area of more than 20 square kilometers.

A large number of orders for Breezair units-said to be the largest evaporative cooler order in the world-were ordered by the Saudi government and the Ministry of Hajj to provide state-of-the-art cooling

"Our Breezair evaporative air conditioner was found to be superior to more than 200 other air conditioner brands and achieved amazing results based on a comprehensive set of standards including energy efficiency, reliability, performance and low environmental impact," Seeley founder and Executive Chairman Frank Seeley revealed.

"During the three-year tender evaluation process, Breezair and other competitors conducted several months of field tests in all conditions and seasons, including comparative tests during the pilgrimage, to evaluate performance under real-world conditions. Built-in The safety mechanism, economical water use, easy control and compact design are essential to the successful selection of Breezair," he added.

These devices need to operate under the harsh summer temperatures of Mina Valley, which can easily reach over 45°C.

Mr. Xavier Delaigue, Director of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa of Seeley International, said that the acquisition of this important supply contract reflects the strength, innovation and durability of Breezair evaporative air conditioners and demonstrates Seeley International’s ability to deliver large-scale orders. Opportunity is a short time frame.

The four-year air-conditioning replacement program was launched in 2015 to improve the accommodation conditions for pilgrims in Mina Valley. "Seeley International is fast-tracking production and installation, so the project is now much ahead of schedule and is expected to be completed in 2018," said Xavier Delaigue, Seeley International Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

"The issue of energy efficiency is very important. The Saudi government and the Ministry of Hajj hope to actively achieve substantial energy savings. Thanks to Breezair cooling technology, Mina Valley has achieved 35% energy savings, which proves advanced technology and a firm commitment to the environment," the local Breezair Said Salman Alsaeed, CEO of the distributor Alsaeed Trading Group.

Breezair air conditioners use the Mini-cell Chillcel cushion technology recently developed by Seeley International. These evaporative cooling pads are entirely manufactured in Australia and are specifically designed to maximize cooling in harsh climates. It is said that the new enhanced small battery design of the revolutionary micro battery structure can provide up to 25% of the surface area, significantly improving the cooling efficiency.

Last month, Seeley International purchased 4.7 hectares of land for the new manufacturing center in Wodonga.

The proposed 12,000-square-meter state-of-the-art manufacturing center will include existing warehouses on the new site, which will further improve the logistics and efficiency of the new facility. The new Wodonga manufacturing center will use advanced technology and automated processes to produce a series of innovative and energy-efficient heating and cooling products for the Australian and international markets.

Mr. Seeley said that the work of the project is partly funded by the Employment and Investment Fund of the Governor of Victoria and is currently being carried out smoothly. The new manufacturing facility will be fully operational by the end of 2019. Early architectural image sketches of the exterior of the building have been released by Seeley International today and will be further refined once it is approved by the final board of directors.

The new manufacturing center will replace the company's older, much smaller existing facility near Albury. The existing warehouse will be put into use from the second quarter of this year, and the factory will be fully operational by the end of 2019.
